[00:00] In this lesson, we'll learn how to reactivate a license. In order to add any new modules to Ignition or update the versions of existing ones then you'll need to do this to update your gateway. You'll notice towards the bottom of my screen that I have this banner letting me know my license is incomplete. This means that some of the modules on my gateway are not licensed and are currently running in the trial mode. We can view which ones those are by clicking on this button that says view modules. On the modules page we get more information confirming that some of my modules are not licensed. For example, we can see that my SFC module is still in a trial mode. Now, I've recently purchased the SFC module and I've added it to my license key. In order to activate it, we do need to go over to the licensing page. Here's my active license that I've purchased the new SFC module for. To reactivate it and apply the module we can click on this more options menu and then choose the reactivate option. I'll go ahead and do this, and we'll get this message that says, license reactivated.

[01:06] So if we go back to that modules page, we can see that the SFC module has now been activated. It is important to note that the reactivation process only works because the gateway has an active internet connection. If you do not have an active internet connection on your gateway, you'll first need to do an offline unactivation and then do an offline activation. For more information on how to do this, refer to the other lessons in this course titled Offline Activation and Unactivating a License.
